A number of small development and refurbishment projects have characterised recent years in Cambridgeshire’s elderly care sector.  Whilst small refurbishments do help to improve the sector across Cambridgeshire, it is clear to all that residential care homes in Cambridgeshire do not have the capacity to meet the 24 hour care needs of the county’s elderly and vulnerable residents.

This lack of capacity is one reason why more people across Cambridgeshire are looking at alternative care provisions for their loved ones, such as one to live in 24 hour care.

Live in care as an alternative

24 hour live in care actually not a new concept in Cambridgeshire.  Helping Hands Home Care has been providing live in care across the county for nearly 20 years, from Peterborough, to Huntington, to Cambridge.

The customer experiences many advantages with 24 hour live in care, most notably the fact that they are able to keep their independence and maintain their daily routine because they do not need to move into a care home, all of the care is provided in the customers own home.

Helping Hands is fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and is a full member of the United Kingdom Home Care Association. All of our carers are employed directly by Helping Hands after thorough assessment (we don’t use any agency staff).
