How can I help you?

I would be delighted to help you with any queries you may have regarding Helping Hands Compliance or Training.

I joined Helping Hands in September 1996 as a Live–in Carer. I spent 2 years supporting various customers with conditions including MS, Dementia, Acquired Brain Injury, Stroke Aftercare and Learning disabilities. I also spent 9 months as an hourly carer, before I joined the office.

I have been delivering and setting up training for all Helping Hands employees since 2000. In 2004 we formed a sister company called ‘Training Matters’ and in June 2005 our NVQ Assessment Centre was launched.

Job satisfaction

There is never a dull moment in my job; knowing that I am improving lives and that I make a difference is immensely satisfying. The industry is constantly changing – I am part of something that has risen in prominence on the government’s agenda and can make things happen. I am involved with all our departments so I have a holistic view of the business; I look for development opportunities, and I’m always looking for new areas to improve our service.

A bit about me

I’ve been told many times that I’m passionate and forthright about life. I like to be involved, as I am with our local school and with WI Lite in Stratford. I’ve been married for 10 years and am very family orientated and as an animal lover, I consider my faithful dog and rescued cat very much part of the family. I enjoy travelling, especially when I have time to get back home to South Africa.
