BACP Accredited Psychotherapist with over 15 years experience of working with individuals, groups and couples. Expertise includes - Emotional Wellness; Assessment and treatment of: Work related anxiety, Loss, Redundancy, Bereavement, Stress, Self-Esteem, Confidence, Panic attacks.
Dr Robert Heaven has joined Helping Hands as an Advisor to help shape the development of the organisation's policies on emotional well-being. He will also develop a specialist training programme for Helping Hands carers and managers. Robert brings a wealth of experience with him, having provided services to many blue-chip clients including; American Express, Police & Emergency Services, Queen Alexandra Hospital Homes, British Airways, Virgin Airways, ITV.
Robert writes for a number of magazines as the ”agony aunt” and he also writes and produces training material. He is a former lecturer in counseling skills at Eastbourne College of Higher Education.
His Professional training includes Post graduate level qualifications in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (University of Sussex); Group Analysis (Tavistock Clinic) and a number of other counseling Diploma/Certificate level trainings including Marital and Relationship Counselling (Relate), Transactional Analysis.
