Helping Hands Home Care was founded in Alcester in 1989 as a small family business dedicated to providing the highest quality care to people in their own homes. We have grown in the last 20 years and now care for thousands of people across England and Wales, but we have remained a family business with its roots in Alcester, caring for many people around the town.
There are many reasons why people decide that a little extra help is required. Maybe everyday tasks have become more difficult than they used to be, or perhaps a more intensive programme of care is required while someone convalesces or manages their illness. Whatever the reason, Helping Hands provides a range of hourly care services to suit all needs.
Our hourly care service enables people to remain in their own home. Our trained carers will perform regular and scheduled home visits providing a range of services to make life easier, offering valuable assistance for the person in question and much needed peace of mind for their family and loved ones.
Our hourly carers domiciliary services include:
General care
• General housework such as vacuuming, washing up etc.
• Preparation and cooking of meals
• Shopping errands, and the collection of pensions and prescriptions
• Assistance with things such as letters, emails, phone calls
• Assistance with trips out to the shops or to see friends.
• Providing good company, someone to talk to and listen to
• Providing respite relief so an existing care giver can take a break
Personal care:
• In the Morning – toileting, bathing, washing and dressing.
• In the Evening - help with going to bed in the evening.
• Through the night – we can stay overnight where necessary.
• Help with medication - help overseeing medication.
All of our carers are employed by us; we do not use any agency staff. Our carers undergo a thorough assessment before being placed with a customer, this includes a full CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.
