For the last 20 years Helping Hands Home Care has been providing an hourly care service for people across the Cotswolds who have come to realise that everyday tasks have become just that little bit more difficult than they used to be.

Helping Hands Home Care was established in 1989.  We’re a small family business which is dedicated to providing outstanding care to people in their own homes. 

Our hourly care service provides range of care designed to make life easier and ensure that the person receiving the care can remain in their own home.  Indirectly the care we provide also helps the families by providing both respite and peace of mind.

We believe it’s crucial that our carers are suited to profession and are very well trained; this is why we choose not to employ any agency staff.  Instead all of our carers are employed by us after a thorough training period, which includes a full (CRB) Criminal Records Bureau check.

Hourly carers domiciliary services include:

General care

• Housework, cleaning, vacuuming, laundry and the preparation of meals.
• Shopping, collecting pensions, Doctor’s prescriptions etc.
• Letter writing, making phone calls, filling out forms, sending emails.
• Trips out, visiting friends or going on excursions.
• Companionship and friendship. Simple tasks like reading, chatting and listening.
• Sitting service; providing brief respite for an existing care giver.

Personal care

• Getting up in the morning – help in the bathroom and help dressing
• Going to bed, help getting ready in the evening
• Help with medication.
• If necessary, overnight stays.
