Social Services Experience
Helping Hands has a long and successful history of working with Social Services across the country; in fact we successfully support one in every two cases that social services approach us with. Over the years we have enabled over 1000 people to stay or return home with a Live-in Carer, promoting their independence behind their own front door.
Established in 1989, Helping Hands Homecare provides 24 hour in home personal care assistance for the elderly via our Live-in Care service. We care for individuals with over 45 different conditions, ranging from Dementia and Alzheimer’s, to Multiple Sclerosis, to Strokes.
We also offer hourly domiciliary care via our Hourly Care service and Younger Persons Care for adults under 65. For short-term or emergency care cover we have a Live-in Respite Care service, if a regular care giver is unavailable for two weeks or longer.
We currently have block contracts with South Warwickshire Social Services and Worcestershire Social Services, delivering of over 5000 hours of care per week. Our Live-in Care service supports a number of social services across the country and is a potential solution for the critical issue of bed blocking.
Helping Hands Homecare is regulated by the CQC and received an EXCELLENT rating at our last inspection; this "3 star" rating is the highest recognition that the CQC awards. Please feel free to view our CQC Inspection Report. We are also a member of the UKHCA, the professional association of homecare providers.

Live-in Care promotes independence
Live-in Care is a modern full-time care solution that allows a client to stay at home in familiar, relaxed surroundings with a comfortable routine. There is none of the disruption or confusion that often comes with a move to a new unfamiliar environment and the level of care and support is incomparable.
For those that value their independence, that want to stay behind their own front door and not have to leave their cherished home or pets, Live-in Care is the perfect solution. A fully trained Live-in Carer lives in the home and provides bespoke one-to-one full time care and companionship, following an agreed care plan that is personalised to the individual with input from all parties involved, both personally and professionally.
Continuity matters
Our experience has taught us that continuity of care is really important, especially for clients suffering with Dementia or Alzheimer’s, where learning a new face or a new routine can be very distressing. Continuity of care helps with familiarity, developing comfortable routines and builds a trusting relationship with the Carer. We aim to have our Carers stay in the home for 5 – 8 weeks; they then take a short 1 -2 week break before returning.
Peace of Mind
From our Head Office in Alcester we directly employ over 500 staff, with specialist Live-in Care Managers, in-house training and legal compliance teams. Many care agencies work as introductory agencies, we don’t. Our Carers are our responsibility. We guarantee cover for our clients so they will never be left stranded. If they have any problems or concerns they have access to their own Live-in Care Manager and a 24 hour emergency care number; this level of care and support offers peace of mind to the professionals involved as well as the family.
