Dementia and the comforts of home

  • The familiarity and assurance that only home comforts can bring with no upheaval or disturbance or any disarming need for reorientation; in times of high anxiety the Carer is on hand to reassure and comfort.
  • In their own home, customers are more likely to feel safe. Taking somebody with Dementia out of their familiar surroundings can make them feel exposed and vulnerable.
  • Live-in Carers can cook favourite meals at times when we know customers prefer to eat.
