Following the call, we will send (or email) a brochure pack, including a Live-In Care DVD, to you and any family members you request.

We suggest that all members of the family involved in the decision, along with the person who needs care, watch the DVD together.

next steps assessmentStep 3 - Assessment

Once they have investigated Live-in Care, nursing homes, care homes or other elderly care options, many people decide that home care from Helping Hands is their best alternative.

This is a free ‘no obligation’ assessment where we come to the home to meet the family and the prospective client to be cared for. During this meeting we can answer any questions, inspect the property, discuss Live-in Care and ascertain the level of care required.

This meeting will allow us to start preparing a bespoke Care Plan; this is the document that will detail all needs from medication, to mobility issues, to routines and favourite pastimes; this enables us to prepare an individual care package that meets your exact needs.

next steps quoteStep 4 - Quote

Following the Assessment meeting, if we think that Live-in Care is a viable option for your situation, we will prepare a full quote that details the level of care that we believe is required and the associated costs.

choosing a carerStep 5 - Choosing a carer

If you decide that Live-in Care from Helping Hands is the best option for your care needs, the next step is to identify the Carer that best suits your situation.

We will ask you for a brief on the type of Carer you are looking for; you may prefer an older Carer, be happier with a male or need someone with a language specialism.

From your brief we will submit a Carer profile for your consideration.

next steps matching processStep 6 - Matching process

One of the most important steps is the matching process. We have a number of Carers at all experience levels; the Carer profiles that we submit will be those that we feel are best suited to your situation and who are closest to your brief.

For the Care service to be successful, we need to match the right people with the right Carers.

homecare beginsStep 7 - Homecare begins

Once home care begins, Helping Hands will appoint a Live-in Care Manager who will monitor your care package on an ongoing basis. Contactable by the family or the Carer for any situation, the Live-in Care Manager will regularly review your individual Care Plan, ensuring that it continues to meet your requirements as care needs change.

From your initial enquiry, under normal circumstances, we can usually have new care packages up and running in less than two weeks. For emergency care situations, we will always do our best to work with any looming deadlines (such as hospital discharge dates), but the more time we have to move through this process, the better chance we have of matching the best possible Carer with your needs.

Once they have investigated Live-in Care, nursing homes, care homes or other elderly care options, many people decide that home care from Helping Hands is their best alternative.
