Building on its strong community reputation in and around Warwickshire, Alcester based care provider Helping Hands Home Care has announced that it will sponsor the ‘Carer of the Year’ award at the forthcoming Touch FM Pride of Stratford Awards, taking place on 17th February 2012 at the Holiday Inn, Stratford Upon Avon.

The ‘Carer of the Year Award, sponsored by Helping Hands’ will recognise the unsung achievements of  Stratford upon Avon’s carer community, who’s dedication and hard work makes such an enormous difference to people’s lives.  A special panel of judges will choose the one individual who, in their opinion, has gone beyond the call of duty in their role.

Tim Lee, Chief Executive Officer of Helping Hands Home Care, who will present the carer of the year award at the ceremony, is delighted that Helping Hands are involved in this year’s event; commenting on the awards, he said, “Every day the carers employed by Helping Hands, and other local care providers, make a real difference to people’s lives in and around Stratford.  It is because of them, and the amazing work they do, that people are able to remain in their own homes during some of the most difficult periods of their life. I’m proud of the role that the carers play in community in Stratford and I’m delighted to be able to pay tribute to them in this way.”

Helping Hands currently employs 56 carers in Stratford; they provide live-in, respite and hourly care for more than 100 clients in the district. Across the whole of Warwickshire Helping Hands cares for around 250 people.

Formed in Alcester in 1989,   Helping Hands is one of the most experienced, and highest regarded, care providers operating in Warwickshire and has grown significantly over recent years to become one of the largest providers of 24 hour live-in care solutions in England and Wales.  Helping Hands also providers a domiciliary ‘by the hour’ care service in Warwickshire, Worcestershire and parts of the Cotswolds.
