There was major cause for celebration at Alcester based Helping Hands Home Care when long standing employee Ilze Careless received  a regional award and the company’s assessment centre was granted its certificate to operate as an NVQ Level 2 facility.

Ilze was officially recognised as one of the best Training Managers in Coventry and Warwickshire at an awards ceremony hosted by the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership For Care. As part of their their annual "Voice of Care" conference they celebrate and recognise success of individuals and organisations through 6 different awards. Ilze deservedly took the accolade and was presented with an award and certificate in front of the 300 delegates that attended.

She became Training Manager in 2000  and has developed a strong team of trainers and assesors,  initiating and managing the entire training programme for over 300 domiciliary and live in care staff as well as developing and recruiting for the NVQ assessment centre.

Ilze commented “ the award came as a complete surprise, it is fantastic that all of the hard work that has been put into developing staff training has been officially recognized by my peers”. Training and Projects Co-ordinator Sarah Bratton also received praise when her work as part of a team, assessing Learning Disabilities was awarded an A grade from the British Institute of Learning Disabilities.
