We recognise, however, that there are times when things can become too much. This is where you can help. We employ carers for two different types of service, hourly care and live in care .  Full training is always given before you are expected to care in the community. For full details on our training programme . We currently have vacancies for live in care nationally and for hourly care in specific areas of Warwickshire and Worcestershire. Details of our current vacancies are listed below:


VACANCY FOR LIVE IN CARER , LOCATION : FLEXIBLE (throughout England & Wales)

Live in carers stay with the Service User on an ongoing basis with holidays and scheduled breaks planned in advance with a Live In Care Manager. Everything you do as a carer directly enables people to stay at home. You will be involved in personal care-tasks, maintenance of the home and the preparation of meals. You can expect to have your own bedroom with bedding and food provided. We employ live-in carers who have responsibility invested in them. Although previous experience is desirable full training will be provided. Your location will be confirmed once your training is complete.

We provide an emergency phone line out of hours as back up both to clients and carers. We employ four drivers to transport you between jobs, so you don't have to worry about getting between locations.

Tasks you will be expected to fulfill may include :

  1. Personal care to include washing and toileting
  2. Assist in getting up / dressing / putting to bed.
  3. Caring for incontinent clients.
  4. Overseeing medication
  5. Housekeeping duties
  6. Meal Preparation
  7. Accompanying into the community / appointments.
  8. Recording all services provided in the clients diary.

THE SELECTION PROCESS

Once your application has been considered candidates will be asked by invitation only to attend a 4 day interview, lasting Monday - Thursday. Further details of our training programme can be found . You will be expected to arrive no later than 12pm on the Monday afternoon. Helping Hands can arrange for you to be collected from nearby train stations if you notify us in advance. A map pinpointing our location is available , information regarding travel can be found . Hostel accommodation and kitchen facilities will be provided, with lunch provided for 2 of the 4 days. The local amenities include shops and banks.

VACANCY FOR HOURLY CARER, LOCATION : SPECIFIC AREAS WITHIN WARWICKSHIRE AND WORCESTERSHIRE.

You will be expected to visit clients within in their own homes at various times during the day, to enable and support them and maintain their independence as far as possible.  It is important that you are both mobile and flexible. Tasks you will be expected to fulfill include :

  1. Personal care
  2. Assist in getting up / dressing / putting to bed.
  3. Caring for incontinent clients.
  4. Overseeing medication
  5. Recording all services provided in the clients diary.

VACANCY FOR HOURLY CARERSLOCATION : STRATFORD UPON AVON , WARWICKSHIRE

We have a specific vacancy for an hourly carer to cover calls in the Stratford Upon Avon area , both week days and weekends. A driver is preferred but not essential, the tasks you would be expected to fulfill are as described above. Full training is provided.

VACANCY FOR HOURLY CARERS . LOCATION : HENLEY IN ARDEN, CLAVERDON, WOOTTON WAWEN .

( WARWICKSHIRE)

In anticipation of a new contract starting in North Warwickshire we are starting an early recruitment driver for hourly carers. Full training is provided and the typical duties are listed above. VACANCY FOR NURSE RISK ASSESSORS ,LOCATIONS : BERKSHIRE, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, BRISTOL AND WILTSHIRE

In support of our Live In Care team we are looking to recruit nurse risk assessors to assess service users needs and identify potential risks in order to generate individual care plans on a casual basis. Holding a current nursing qualification, a full driving licence and experience in risk assessment and care planning as well as a manual handling trainers certificate.

Your main activities  would include :

      1. Assessment of service users needs.

      2. Undertaking risk assessments to include Service Users Needs, Manual Handling, Medication and Financial.

      3. Take into account employers requirements and individual service user needs in planning assessment.

      4. Maintain assessment records and undertake administrative procedures.

      5. Liasing with Managers to maintain quality assessment process.

      6. Undertake care worker supervision and direct observations as referred by departmental managers.

      7. Keep up to date with specific knowledge and other issues relevant to the area of work.

      8. Travel to service users throughout the UK.
