About me

“I became involved in the care sector over 20 years ago and have never looked back.  My career has spanned across the care and housing sector managing varied portfolios of domiciliary care services, extra care schemes, sheltered schemes, day services and live in care.

I love the interaction that I have with both the customers and the carers, and I am very proud of the service we provide at Helping Hands. I have a fabulous team of managers who all work extremely hard and are all incredibly committed to providing a high-quality service.”

Career Pathway

Jill began her career in the care and housing sector when she joined Housing and Care 21 in 2002. Jill was with Housing and Care 21 for 13 years in varied roles including Care Services Manager, Operations Manager and Locality Manager.  Jill then moved into a consultancy role for a year supporting Cross Keys Homes with their Care and Lifeline Projects before moving to Simply Together as Director of Care.  Jill joined Helping Hands in April 2017 as Head of Live-In Care, where she was responsible for supporting the live-in carers and ensuring that customers across the East of the UK received a quality person-centred care service. In 2019, Jill evolved her role into Regional Care Director.

Jill’s compassion and dedication has always been at the forefront of her work, where she has provided a flexible and person-centred service when assisting young people and vulnerable adults. Throughout her time at Helping Hands, Jill has also undertaken a range of modules within the care sector in order to share this knowledge with carers, so that they can continue to provide a compassionate and informed level of support to customers.

Qualifications and Professional Development

As well as having over 20 years of practical experience in the industry, Jill has also gained additional management qualifications to support her continued carer development which include Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Institute of Management, Level 4 in Housing Practice – Support for Independent Living from the Chartered Institute of Housing, and Level 3 Coaching and Mentoring.  Jill is an Advanced Safeguarding Champion and is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management.
