Every carer is entitled to 14 hours of breaks over the course of a working week. This can be divided in a way that suits you best. Commonly, it is split into two hours each day or a few afternoons a week, although Helping Hands are able to cover those breaks through our local hourly visiting service.
Yes! If we currently provide your visiting care or an alternative home care provider does, we can look into arranging a live-in care plan for you.
There are a couple of simple practicalities that you need to consider, such as; a space of their own to sleep and relax, bathroom facilities and regular breaks (see above).
