A GLASSDOOR EMPLOYEES’ CHOICE AWARD WINNER

Helping Hands Homecare has been honoured with a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award, recognising the Best Places to Work in 2018. The Employees’ Choice Awards, now in its tenth year overall (and fourth year in the UK), relies solely on the input of employees. These employees elect to provide feedback on their jobs, work environments and companies via Glassdoor. Helping Hands were ranked 22 in the UK and are the only home care company to be recognised in the top 50.

“Everybody at Helping Hands has a shared passion for keeping people at home, whether that be our carers, managers or support staff” said CEO, Tim Lee. “It is an absolute privilege to see and hear first hand the difference they make to those in need in what can often be difficult circumstances. We are experiencing a period of huge growth and so ensuring that our company values remain constant is key if we are to be an employer of choice and continue to deliver outstanding home care to our families. Any feedback is a wonderful opportunity to continually improve, this recognition from Glassdoor is something that everybody at Helping Hands should be incredibly proud of – an amazing team that really does change lives.”

“We know today’s job seekers are more informed than ever about where they go to work, researching everything from company culture to career opportunities to pay philosophy and more. To help people find companies that stand out from the pack, the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards recognise employers that are truly Best Places to Work because they’re determined by those who really know best – the employees,” said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor CEO and co-founder. “Employers where employees love to work continue to prove that they have a recruiting and business performance advantage. We’re proud to celebrate the 2018 winners as we mark our tenth anniversary of the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards.”

When sharing a company review on Glassdoor, employees are asked to rate their satisfaction with the company overall, and key workplace factors like career opportunities, compensation, benefits, work/life balance, senior management, as well as culture and values. In addition, employees are asked to describe the best reasons to work at their companies as well as any downsides. Comments for Helping Hands include,

“Working for a family company means that you always have a voice, innovations and positive changes are welcome and can be implemented relatively quickly. The company is expanding rapidly and that means there are plenty of opportunities to contribute and grow with it. If you thrive on hard work and are committed to delivering an excellent service working with a great bunch of like minded colleagues then come to work at Helping Hands”.

“ A great company to work for, accomodating, supportive, friendly, caring and compassionate.”
