Laura has also worked as a Support Worker with older adults and adults with additional needs. She provided housing-related support to assist paying bills, maintaining tenancies, completing forms and sustaining positive life choices for service users across Birmingham.
Whilst studying for her undergraduate degree, she spent a year working as an Assistant Psychologist with the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. During this time, she supported adults living with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and severe depression by working with a multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, mental health nurses, occupational therapists and health care workers.
Laura has also volunteered for the Samaritans and supported many people in their time of need.
In her spare time, Laura enjoys playing netball for her local club and competes on a weekly basis. She thoroughly enjoys watching the England Roses play netball at an international level and her favourite Superleague Team is Wasps.
