On January 25th, we celebrated the launch of our new Harrow branch on College Road, with a well-received grand opening reception. The reception was attended by many of Helping Hands’ customers and carers, who all enjoyed the sandwiches, cake and conversation. Chief Operations Officer Ben Lee was also in attendance, who welcomed and thanked everyone for attending.

Ben presented our first official customer with flowers (seen on right), whilst the local Mayor of Harrow, Councillor Rekha Shah was also at the opening ceremony to cut the ribbon and to officially declare the branch open.

Ben Lee, Helping Hands’ Chief Operating Officer proudly stated:
“We are continually expanding our network of branches and it was a pleasure to welcome everyone to our new branch in Harrow. It was also a real pleasure to see some of our existing customers and carers – they are after all what makes Helping Hands so special. We are a company that puts people first and we make sure that we give everyone the best support we can, whether they are a carer or a customer.”

We’ve all had a great morning meeting each other and obviously we have enjoyed eating lots of lovely cake! The launch has been turned around quickly because we knew we had customers waiting for us that needed our support, we are all so excited and are looking forward to providing home care for the people of Harrow. Tracey is equally excited at the prospect of being able to provide around 50 jobs per year to the Harrow area.”

At Helping Hands we’ve been providing care support to families through our live-in and hourly care services to customers across England and Wales since 1989. We are proud that Tracey and her team at the new Harrow Branch are able to offer fully-trained care specialists, providing care support to people of all ages through hourly visiting care – including companionship, cooking and cleaning, and personal care – as well as condition-led care support, clinical, palliative and respite and emergency care.

Helping Hands currently have 39 branches, with this figure expected to reach 55 by the end of the year and the opening of the Harrow branch is part of the company wide expansion. Helping Hands also has branches covering Wimbledon, Kensington & Chelsea, Bromley and Barnet – in the London area as well as branches covering many other UK towns and cities.
