Our Brexit Team
Here at Helping Hands we’ve set up a Team within our Head Office support function to respond to any Brexit related questions. We want to share our expertise and knowledge on Brexit and assist all our EU employees, current and future, to stay working in the UK and enjoy a long and rewarding career with us.
We’ve put this Team together so we can stay up to date with the correct and relevant information. Our firstname.lastname@example.org inbox is available to answer any queries you may have right now, or in the future.
Key Brexit Dates to Remember
We don’t want you to miss important dates in the Brexit diary, so make a note of these upcoming milestones.
- 29th March 2019 – the UK formally leaves the EU
- 30th March 2019 – Settlement Scheme opens fully
- 30th December 2020 – free movement in the UK ends
- 31st June 2021 – in the event of a Deal, this is the deadline for all Settlement Scheme applications
More information will be available as we move through the process of Brexit.
If you are an EU citizen but would like to still work in the UK, you need to apply to the Settlement Scheme. When your application is approved you will get a settled or pre-settled status which will allow you to stay within the UK.
