Our family values
An endorsed private home care provider with family values.
Helping Hands began as a small family business in Warwickshire in 1989, so we understand the importance of family. It means everything to us - just as it means everything to our customers.
Today, as one of the largest and most respected home care providers in the UK, those same family values exist and guide every part of Helping Hands, just as they did all those years ago.
We provide award-winning induction courses to all of our carers as they join our team at Helping Hands, treating them like family every step of the way, so that they are fully equipped to look after yours.
What do our customers say?
"Thank you for allaying our anxieties"
Thank you for allaying the anxieties of bringing care into the home of my previously independent 90 year old mother in law. You have been excellent in your abilities to reassure and support her, especially as you were initially asked in to help when we couldn't be available for a while. Your now 3 times a week, twice daily visits, which include helping her to shower have continued as she has been so comfortable with your care. With the experience we, and she, have had, we say a very big thank you.

"Thank you for being part of our family"
Helping Hands in Shipley have helped us support our elderly parents for two and a half years. In that time they have been extreemly reliable and have often gone over and above in supporting us all. COVID, snow, you name it, they always get there. Thank you for being part of our family team. We can't do it without you.

"Our carer feels like family"
Karen made me feel so comfortable about having to need care at this point in my life. She paired me up with a Carer that fits right in with my family, and who is so tentative to all my needs. They don’t make me feel incapable of things, but help and support me to do what I need to do. Feels like a family; Thank you Karen and Sarah for supporting me :-)

"We are so grateful"
As a family, we are so grateful for the service provided by Helping Hands. We contacted them at a time of distress and desperation and they responded promptly and with a professionalism second to none, helping us through an exceptionally rough time. Paul, Branch Manager, was kind, compassionate, understanding and extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. The two carers who came to us are also a credit to Helping Hands, we are so grateful.
