Is adult care cheaper than a care home?

The multiple benefits of home care make it excellent value for money.

Through our 30 years’ experience of carefully matching trained carers with our customers across the country, we’ve seen first-hand the difference it’s made to their health – both physically and mentally. As such, we believe that care in your own home is a better value alternative to care homes. There are many benefits to opting for a home care service over a care home; here are just a handful:

Adult care cost

We know that arranging home care for yourself or a loved one can be stressful. That’s why we’ll aim to keep things as simple and straightforward as possible when it comes to costs.

Depending on your needs, adult care costs will vary. Visiting care is charged at an hourly rate with live-in care, or “24-hour care”, quoted on either a daily rate for short-term respite or a weekly rate for ongoing care. We can discuss the level of care that is right for you and whether the cost of home care is financially sustainable for you and your family.

Visiting care
Visiting care gives you a flexible support option where your carer will come to your home at certain points of the day and provide you with the help that you need.
Prices start from £31.00 per hour for one-to-one personal home care. Costs are flexible for visits lasting 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
Prices depend on your location and specific care needs, with differences for overnight care and support provided during weekends and bank holidays
Each care visit comes with a call-out fee of £4.50 per visit. This additional fee is to ensure your carer’s travel costs are covered.
Live-in care
A live-in carer provides round-the-clock support for all your needs and personal care routines, including bathing, toileting, managing catheters, changing clothes and self care.
A live-in carer can support you with a number of personal care routines, including bathing, toileting, managing catheters, changing clothes and self care
