Cost Of Diabetes Care

Since 1989, Helping Hands have been providing care to people with a wide range of conditions, helping them to remain comfortable and independent in the familiar surroundings of their own home. If you or a loved one have diabetes, our brilliant carers will be able to support you to enjoy the best possible quality of life with care that’s discreet, empathetic and completely tailored to your individual requirements and wishes.

All of our carers are selectively recruited for their dedication, empathy and desire to provide person-centred care. Upon joining Helping Hands, they’re enrolled in our award-winning training, which equips them to assist you in a number of ways, both physically and emotionally. Whether you need personal care, help with shopping, someone to prepare meals for you, assistance medication or something else, our carers are completely committed to ensuring you feel as supported and confident as possible.

As diabetes is a complex medical condition, we also have an expert clinical nurse team who are always on standby to assist our carers with more diabetes-specific medical treatments. And, as your condition changes, you can also make amends to your care plan to ensure you’re always receiving the level of care and treatment that you require. For example, if you find you’re struggling for mobility, your carer can help you attend medical appointments, do more heavy lifting around the house or collect shopping for you. We’re also able to provide you with a live-in carer for round-the-clock support.

And if you do start to struggle with your mobility due to your diabetes and are unable to carry out tasks around the house or tend to your personal care, your care plan can be altered at any time. You may find that you need support from a dedicated live-in carer, who will come and live with you in your home and provide round-the-clock support whenever you need assistance.
