Free dementia workshop in godalming, Surrey

Learn more about dementia and what life is like for a person living with the condition in our free dementia workshop in Surrey this December.

Experienced carer trainers from Helping Hands Home Care will be sharing their knowledge and insights into dementia, a condition that is currently affecting 850,000 people in the UK and that is predicted to rise to over 1 million by 2025.

The event will be attended by Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt MP and Mayor of Godalming Simon Thornton.

The workshop will involve a training session and simulated dementia experience. It will be useful to anyone is who is concerned about a loved one who is living with the condition or for those interested in a career as a dementia carer.

Food and refreshments will be provided. A raffle will be held during the day with all proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Society. The prizes have been donated by local businesses.
