This was a first for me arranging care for mum as she was staying with us for a month. I did my research in the area and liked the ethos of helping hands. This was confirmed when they came to meet mum. We have been delighted with the carers that have been arranged for mum. They have all been professional and taken great care to make sure mum is happy with the personal care keeping her dignity intaked. We would highly recommend this company. Thank you Helping Hands Chelmsford x

Helping Hands Chelmsford have been assisting me with caring for my disabled daughter for 4 years now. They provide a wonderful caring and professional service from office staff to carers. They are always willingly to help and accommodate if shifts need moving around and we are very happy with the service and grateful to the carers who help my daughter on a daily basis.

I haven't written my review, since my father died in October 2021, but I now feel I'm ready to speak about my experience with helping hands. We sort of started off ok, from the start of 2019/2021. Things started to change when they changed there management. We began having their services with just mornings, then as my father's condition worsened we started having them 3 times a day. As my fathers mantel state was up and down it became difficult as his needs continuously changed, we were needing help from helping hands. We used to telephone them on many occasions, as carers were not up to speed with the condition of dementia, and my fathers mental ability, he sometimes just didn't understand why they were there. We were in contact with the manager, as things with the carers weren't going well regarding the help with my fathers needs,I instead of trying to understand his situation they started to black list him, and in his final days they just cut us off and sent fewer carers to help him and us. I found that company had no idea how to deal with people with dementia, and not only that he just didn't understand the situation with covid,They canceled the weekend visits, knowing that we had no other help, and unfortunately my father died at a weekend with very little help from helping hands. I could never recommend this company to anyone as I was truly let down. Thank you Helping Hands for all of your support "NOT". plus after he had died and everything had gone into probate the managment at the time "Jade", even called us to find out where there payment was. How LOW can you get. ?

We are now more than 2 months in to using Helping Hands and the experience has far exceeded expectations! Having endured care from two other organisations I cannot express the difference fully, but from initial contact with Lottie to establish our requirements, through to the care itself, I have been so impressed. Mum has Laura and Charlotte. Both truly care for Mum, just as I would. Mum has alzeimers and they u der stand her condition and now know Mum so well. From their arriving to leaving, there is a sense of calm and most days much laughter as Mum is got up, allowing me to work as I log on at 8am. They have never been late and are so respectful of Mum. She always comes out of her bedroom, pushing her frame, grinning. They make her very happy and it means a great start to the day all round. I only have 3 x 1 hour calls but this has never been an issue. I cannot praise all 3 ladies and their wider support enough. Thank you for making my life easier and of course, your compassionate care for Mum!
