I have been assisted by Helping Hands for just over a month now following a car accident where I was the passenger, and both of my ankles were broken, leaving me unable to walk for some time. I had previously received care from another company for around 2 months, but the insurers for the other car driver wanted to arrange my care going forwards and they appointed Helping Hands. I have to say the difference in the care between the previous company and this one is very similar but there is a huge difference in the professionalism and friendliness of Helping Hands team - it almost feels like I have friends visiting me twice a day rather than carers! They literally can not do enough - on days I don't need them for the full time allocated they are always offering to do additional things such as washing up / tidying etc - sometimes they sit and have a tea / coffee for any time left. I work and have family at home so I don't "need" the company, but I feel like this could make a massive difference to people who have more hours in the day to fill than I do. The previous care company always felt like they couldn't wait to leave - they were usually late and running late, so didn't spend long enough with me for me to do everything I needed (of the half hour time I was due they would often leave in 10 minutes and leave me to finish on my own downstairs - especially in the mornings) but with Helping Hands they always arrive on time and they take the time I need to help me - sometimes leaving early, but always offering to stay for the full time and asking if I would like additional things done. It was difficult getting used to different people each day at first but now its great - it almost feels like I have bunch of new friends to help who take it in turns to visit! It feels like Helping Hands and their team really do care - for them its not just a job of getting in and getting done, every one of the lovely ladies I have met has taken time to get to know me, and understand what I need / dont need as well as commenting on my progress each time I see them - they remember the small details. I literally cannot recommend this company highly enough - I am not affiliated with them at all - in fact I didn't even choose them myself, but I can't imagine any other company being as good as this one. I should also add I am fussy! I have high standards and expect things to be just right - they do more than I could ever want or ask for!

My dad was having palliative care the whole team treated him with kindness and dignity. He would look forward to the visits as did we his family, we were taken into consideration even the dog. They made a difference and were supportive making a very difficult time easier.
