“Hello! I’m Kay, the Manager at Helping Hands’ Milton Keynes & Bedford branch. My role within Helping Hands is to oversee the day-to-day running of the branch, to ensure that we are providing the best possible levels of care to our customers and that we are adhering to the regulations of the Care Quality Commission. Our carers work to the highest professional standards, whilst keeping in mind the Helping Hands vision of listening and understanding, building on our success, focusing on people and providing excellence every time."

Myself and my team provide everything from companionship, housekeeping, through to providing more complex healthcare support for people with conditions such as MS, Spinal Injuries, Parkinson’s, Acquired Brain Injuries and those that have suffered a Stroke. Every member of the Helping Hands team is here to ensure we enable our customers to enjoy the quality of life they deserve in the comfort of their own home, irrespective of their personal or medical needs.

My team of dedicated carers across Milton Keynes, Bedford and the surrounding areas are chosen and trained at the branch, supported by expert guidance from a team of registered nurses and myself. We draw on our extensive knowledge of the area, having first launched Helping Hands in Warwickshire in 1989.

If you have a progressive medical condition or have been recently injured and need support around the home, one of our carers can give you the extra support you need. If your medical condition requires that you take medication in the middle of the night, one of our carers can be there to remind you to take it, and help to administer it.

All of our local Milton Keynes carers have been fully trained at our very own Centre of Excellence, and have a wide knowledge of complex condition-led care. All Helping Hands carers are DBS checked and trained to help you or your loved one remain independent in their home, whilst giving you the level of live-in care that you require.

Our carers are also committed to ensuring that you receive the best condition-led care available, and work with local GPs to understand how best to support you.
