We have just lost our gentle & caring dad Hugh & want 2 thank all the carers who visited dad on a daily basis. I contacted helping hands after a s/w recommended u after the family were unable 2 look after dad as much bc of our own health probs. From the moment u started visiting our dad absolutely loved u all. He loved the chats & I saw how much his mh improved, he became so upbeat. BC we were not able 2 get over to see dad as much it broke our hearts but I knew dad was in v good hands & I want 2 thank each & every one of u from the bottom of my heart, For any1 looking for a care company in the area the Rothwell Branch cover I couldn't recommend them more, simply outstanding in care & compassion. Rothwell team carers & office staff please know how much dads family (here & in Scotland) appreciated what u did for him. I approached Helping Hands after been dissatisfied with several previous carers. They helped me keep mum at home as she wished. I would recommend them to anyone looking for genuine carers. Mum had Alzheimer's a very cruel disease and they all without exception looked after her in a kind and considerate way. Thank you all at Helping Hands for caring for mum.

Dad was finding it hard to manage on his own after his respiratory illness got worse and he was placed on 24 oxygen at home. A social worker recommended Helping Hands Rothwell so dad agreed that they could come out and get to know all about dad and do an assessment so a care plan could be decided. A lovely lady came out and assessed dad and after discussing everything dad decided he would give care at home a go and it was the best decision ever. The carers are all lovely and really go out of their way to support and help dad. They help dad with so many things such as preparing and cooking meals, washing him, some other aspects of personal care, a little laundry and changing his bed when family are unable to do so. We normally get a food delivery for dad at home but if he runs out of certain things the carers are able to go to the local shop and get him what he needs. They give medication and take pictures of prescriptions and are very careful and thorough. I live away from dad and am presently ill myself and even though I have not been able to go and see him as much I know he is in very caring hands and I trust the carers completely. I would recommend helping hands Rothwell to anybody. Even though dad is in the last stages of his illness I have seen a very positive change in dad...he is so much happier, he loves his visits and chats with the carers and he still feels he has his independence so he is so happy. A massive thank you to all those at the Rothwell branch for all you do for my dad, we really do appreciate everything!
