I am a visiting carer and have worked with helping hands for nearly 2 years, I love my job and staff that I work with, the office staff are good at listening and understanding clients needs I would not work for anyone else

We contacted Helping Hands directly as the NHS were unable to provide the resources to get my terminally ill dad home. They liaised with the hospital discharge team and we were able to get him home quickly. The carers who visited were excellent and so patient and kind to my dad. As a family we couldn’t fault the team at Helping Hands. With their support we were able to respect dad’s wishes and get him out of hospital so he could spend the little time he had left at home surrounded by his family.

Helping Hands is a professional organisation; extremely well managed with very caring staff. The carers who visited my parents understood how to handle their dementia , and their desire to keep their independence in their own home. All carers were delightful, bright and cheery. Can highly recommend them . My sisters and I were so pleased we found them! They accommodated our requirements as soon as they were able too. Outstanding!

Both the office and the ladies have been so helpful and understanding in our current situation. It has really helped to talk to people and we have full piece of mind knowing my mother in law is being cared for.

Helping hands has made a weekly visit to my mum for the past 4 weeks as we arranged. The same carer has been allocated at each visit, which is very important to us the family and to my mum, as to many strange faces makes her anxious, the carer is dedicated, polite and lovely with mum.

Claire listened attentively and sympathetically to my parents needs and asked lots of relevant questions. She then presented her suggestions in terms of care that could be provided by Helping Hands and gave knowledgeable explanations about each of these. She was very reassuring and filled me with confidence that my parents can be cared for at home that my mum can have a dignified and comfortable end of life.

All my enquiries were dealt. With and consultation arranged.

Your accessor was very imformative and helpful. He explained everything that was available to us. He was very friendly.

The person I spoke to had a lovely manner and knew exactly the type of care I need to put in place for my mother. I was able to have an assessment appointment set up very quickly to suit myself and my mother. A very good start !

The lady I spoke to was most helpful pleasant and friendly, and very caring, really understanding my needs.

My mother has a welfare check twice weekly on the days I don't - she enjoys seeing her regular caller - Lynne-. We are also able to increase the calls when necessary - this flexibility is invaluable

The person who I spoke to took time to listen without hurrying and was able to answer all my questions.
