There isn’t a set list of reasons why someone may need personal care; if you require extra help to do everyday activities, then we can support you. Some of our customers are in their senior years and need elderly care assistance around the house as they can’t quite manage it on their own, whereas others have specific health conditions, such as dementia, Parkinson’s or cerebral palsy, and need specialised nurse-led care. Limited hour care visits

There are lots of people that may not necessarily need support with personal care or mobility aids but do require someone to accompany them to the shops or medical appointments if they are unsteady on their feet or nervous about going outside alone. In order to be surrounded by such a fantastic team, all of our carers undergo a thorough recruitment process, whereby they are required to provide several character references and undergo a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) screening.

We don’t employ our carers for their previous care experience; we choose them for their empathy and passion to help others, as this is something that cannot be taught and is simply either part of someone’s nature or not. Once selected, trainee carers learn the theoretical and practical skills they will need out in the field such as moving and handling, delivering personal care, first aid and safeguarding.
