Why choose live in care in Nottingham?

Although many believe home care to be based around personal care, there are so many other things that care covers too – such as assistance with medication, mobilising safely in and around the home, light housework, attending appointments, preparing meals and companionship.

Our Live-in Care services is available in Nottingham and offers full time, 24-hour care from professionally trainer carers. They provide care in your own home to allow you to continue to enjoy the quality of life.

The great thing about home care is that it is adaptable around you and your schedule. One week, you may need help changing the bedsheets and shopping for groceries, whereas the following week you may need help getting to and from the doctors. Whilst we’ll agree and follow your support plan, we can be flexible during your visits so that everything is taken care of that matters to you.

Why might you need care?

Home care requirements are completely different for each and every one of our customers. Whilst many of our customers are elderly and have support to help them with the upkeep of their home and help with daily activities, others may require more regular support with personal care throughout the day if they are living with a long-term health condition such as dementia, multiple sclerosis or cerebral palsy.

We understand and recognise that everyone is different; even if the health condition they are living with is the same – no two people have identical support at home. That’s why we’ll create your support plan around you and review and update it every few months so that it matches your level of need.

Carers for short term visits

Care from the Nottingham team can be little and often so that you have the reassurance that there will always be someone popping in once a day to help you – whether that’s making you some lunch, helping you to wash your hair or taking your dog for a walk. And if you need specialist support during the evenings and night times, we also provide overnight care to help with administering medication, assisting you to safely turn over in bed or to help relieve any anxieties that are heightened during the night.

Intermittent carer visits

Respite care is an ideal solution for short-term support to care for your loved one whilst you take a step back and recharge your batteries. To ensure that their care is transferred over to the Nottingham team in a seamless way, we’ll meet with both of you beforehand to put everything in place and keep to the same routines that you normally have. That way, you both have peace of mind that the right care is being delivered whilst you both have some time apart.

Carers for immediate situations

You may find yourself in difficult circumstances whereby you need instant support; perhaps you’ve just been discharged from hospital and you need help feeling like yourself again, or your regular caregiver may have to tend to an emergency and you’re left without care. With emergency care from the team, we can have a carer with you usually within several hours of you contacting us, enabling you to remain in the comfort of your own home until everything settles down.

Carers in Nottingham

Branch manager Bella and her team of compassionate carers work tirelessly to make sure all of their customers are looked after with the dignity and respect that they deserve. And it’s this compassionate nature that we search for when recruiting for carers to join the team.

Along with an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check and character references, we only employ those that meet our high standards of being genuinely caring people – everything else can be taught via award winning training days at their branch, as well as shadowing experienced carers across the city.
