Helping a customer with dementia in Basingstoke
One of the carers at the Basingstoke branch has gone above and beyond the call of duty for a customer living with dementia. Carer Louise spent some of her care calls exploring the places her customer had travelled to in his younger years via Google Maps. As Louise’s customer struggled to navigate his way around a computer, she showed him how to zoom in and out on the various cities and landmarks, which he was absolutely fascinated with. She then spent several lunchtimes creating a travel booklet for him to reminisce on the many places that he’d travelled to, which he was thrilled to receive. This is just one example of how our carers go the extra mile for their customers.
