Easter holiday with my Carer

Jacky-and-carer-at-Rugby

A friend came up and stayed for the four days giving Mary a hand to look after me, which meant that Mary could spend some time on her phone talking to her family and wishing them a happy Easter.

Saturday we all went to the rugby to watch Worcester Warriors against London Irish. Mary was well wrapped up against the elements as it was wet and windy.

We had a great view at the sat at the front in rows A and B. I love to take Mary out to new experiences and to see what I enjoy. It gives us common ground to talk about. I think I’ve converted her though as she wants to go the the shop the next time to buy the Warriors scarf! Even better was the fact that Mary’s ticket was complimentary as a carer. So she can go with me anytime for free. I’m glad she enjoyed herself.

Sunday Mary and I had communion. We are both catholic so share in the church service that comes to my house. Then we had a traditional roast dinner for Easter Sunday that my friend cooked. Mary enjoyed that.

My friend left Monday lunchtime so Mary back in full control now.
