Visiting care and home care in Nuneaton

Nuneaton was listed as ‘Eaton’ in the Domesday Book of 1086, a small farming settlement with around 150 inhabitants. By 1543, that had grown to 800 and by 1740 to 2,480, while today there are over 90,000 inhabitants! This kind of consistent growth is something that we at Helping Hands can identify with, as since our inception in 1989, we have seen amazing levels of expansion.

We really are the home care specialists, because we’ve been supporting people to remain as independent as possible while being cared for within their own home for over 30 years. We can offer either visiting care or live-in care that’s tailored around you and your routines, ensuring that your preferences are always followed, and you are consistently at the centre of your own care journey.

Home care Nuneaton

When you have visiting care from Helping Hands, you don’t just get the support of a compassionate carer; you also get the expertise of a company that has been supporting people to remain in the home they love since 1989. With visits starting from as little as 30 minutes per week, we will work entirely around you, so you can feel safe and supported at home. Whether you need support with the practicalities such as personal care, household chores and meal preparation, or simply a friendly face to pop in for a cup of tea and a chat so you have some companionship, our visiting carers are invaluable when it comes to you managing at home. Additionally, they can also care for you outside of it, taking you to appointments, activities, or days out.

Live-in care in Nuneaton

If you are unhappy at the thought of going into a care home, having a live-in carer can be a cost-effective alternative. With live-in care, you get the benefit of a supportive carer being with you all day and night, as well as the superb levels of care that you’d expect from Helping Hands. If your needs are more complex, then we have a team of clinical nurses who can oversee your care as well as specially trained carers who will have in-depth knowledge of your needs. Your carer can support you with every aspect of your care, such as medication, mobility support and personal care, but also you and your loved ones get the reassurance of around-the-clock company for you and the knowledge that you’re never alone at home.

Better than a care agency in Nuneaton

Helping Hands is not a home care agency; we directly employ all of our carers and staff, which means we can give our customers the best care possible in their own homes without burdening them with everything a traditional agency brings, such as hidden costs and referral fees. We are a fully regulated and managed service, so if you want you and your carer to be focussing on the priorities of your care rather than worrying about employment contracts, contact us to learn more today.

Dementia care at home in Nuneaton

A diagnosis of dementia can be upsetting for both the person and their loved ones, and when the conversation inevitably turns towards future care, you need to know that you will be supported by a company that is a dementia specialist. Remaining at home to receive dementia care can be highly beneficial, as being in familiar surroundings can help to reduce confusion and anxiety in some cases, so to discover more about how we could be supporting you to remain in the home you love, call us today.

Respite care and short-term assistance

Sometimes care can be needed in a hurry, for instance, if your regular carer is taken ill and has to go home to recover, so who can you turn to in an emergency? Respite care traditionally conjures up images of having to go into residential care, but that’s never been the case with Helping Hands; we come to you and provide all the care you need. Respite care is also suitable when your regular carer just needs to take a break, so if you need support until they return, we can help.

Elderly care in Nuneaton

We all need some extra support as we get older, and with elderly care, our friendly and helpful carers can make a huge difference to your day-to-day life. They’ll undertake the tasks you’re finding more difficult, such as personal care, laundry and housework, meaning that you get to live the life you want while staying in your own home.

Fully-trained carers in Nuneaton

Our team members are rigorously trained to ensure they can fully support all customers’ needs and requirements, and we continue their professional development throughout their careers. We only select the most compassionate and empathetic people to look after our customers and ensure they are screened by the Disclosure and Barring Service when they first join us. We are accredited by the Dementia Action Alliance and fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission, as well as being founder members of the UK Home Care Association, so it’s no surprise we’re considered the UK’s home care experts.
