Being diagnosed with a life-limiting condition is understandably a very difficult time, not just for you but for your loved ones as well. As soon as you’re diagnosed, you begin your palliative care journey but that doesn’t mean you won’t live much longer – many people spend years having treatments and therapies as part of their palliative care.
Although your condition won’t ultimately be cured, your wider healthcare team will ensure that you live as high a quality of life as you can for as long as possible, focussing on pain relief and keeping you comfortable. We have branches across the whole of Devon dedicated to ensuring you are fully supported for as long as you need us.
As your palliative care pathway approaches its conclusion, you will be described as at the end of your life. This is understandably a traumatic time for your loved ones to cope with, and that is why our carers won’t just be there to support you with end of life care; they’ll be emotionally caring for your family members too.
By remaining at home and being cared for in the place that means the most to you, you can have the people you love around you at all times, as well as your precious pets on your bed and your beloved garden in view. We can support you on a visiting care basis from just 30 minutes per week or offer live in care for around-the-clock support.
We only have people working for us who demonstrate compassionate and empathetic qualities, which is why we can be so confident that you’ll never have carers quite like ours.
All of them go above and beyond on a regular basis to ensure that you are kept as comfortable as possible in your own home. They will demonstrate exceptional team-working abilities within your wider team of healthcare professionals, as well as confidently working alone.
Our services are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales too, so you will always receive consistently excellent service.
We have over 160 branches across England and Wales and many in the county of Devon. Therefore, you can be sure that we have knowledgeable and friendly people not far from where you live.
You can also contact our customer care team seven days a week to get answers to any questions you may have or request a call back via our website for a time that suits you.
