When to choose supported living

You may be living with physical or mental disabilities, struggling with the after-effects of an accident or illness, or recovering from surgery, but regardless of why you need us, we’ll be there for you. Our amazing carers can support your medication, mobility, meal preparation, housework, and personal care, as well as so much more. This’ll help you to make the most of living in the home you love, without worrying that you’ll have to move into residential accommodation, leading to further reassurance for both you and your loved ones that you’re in the place you want to be and you can live independently without a loss of safety.

Expert care services tailored to your needs

You deserve to have your routine respected at all times, whether you’re living with complex care needs, or you require a small amount of extra support. At Helping Hands, we strive to ensure that you always get to enjoy the activities you undertake, whether it’s going to a day centre or walking the dog. You can be comfortable and feel secure because we’re there to support you, while also ensuring you enjoy increased independence in the home you love. No-one wants to feel that they have to rely on other people for the essentials of daily life, yet by allowing our carers to support you, you’ll get the best of both worlds. Our carers and support assistants never overstep boundaries – knowing instinctively when you’d prefer some quiet time or you’re in the mood for company. They’ll be with you around-the-clock if they’re living in, or only when you need them if they’re visiting, such as when you want to get out of bed, take a shower, have support with your studying, or you need transporting to work.

Qualified carers providing supported living in Eastbourne

Our carers and personal assistants are amazing at what they do and we’re always careful to pick people who we know will be dedicated to promoting your independence. We look for personal qualities of compassion and kindness over practical caring skills, as we can train people on how to use equipment, but we can’t teach them to care from the heart. That doesn’t mean we don’t equip them with the essential knowledge to take care of every aspect of your routines though, far from it, as our training and development courses are designed to teach everyone industry-leading techniques. In addition, because we only believe in person-centred care at Helping Hands, you’ll always be kept at the centre of your support journey, and we’ll always treat you as the unique individual you are.
