Thank you so much for looking after my granny. I know how hard you all worked to give her the best possible quality of life. I have never been so impressed with a group of people as with all of you.

Live-in care for absolute peace of mind
Live-in care provides a fantastic alternative to residential care, allowing you to stay in the comfort of your own home with as little disruption as possible.
It is good for when you have higher level needs, or need care around-the-clock.
We will take information about you as a person to ensure we match you up with the perfect carer. Operating in a different way to an agency, all of our carers are directly employed by Helping Hands, which is what guarantees your continuity of carer.
Live-in care is good for maintaining your usual routine, allowing you to get up when you like, eat your favourite meals at the time you prefer and keep your pets with you.
Home is where people are most comfortable, your live-in carer will allow you to stay there.
Respite care for short-term needs
We know that your care needs can change quickly, without warning, or just on a temporary basis. For this reason, we can support you with as little three days live-in care, or one day of visiting support for when your needs are not ongoing.
When is respite care a good option?
• Illness-If you are ill and need a bit of extra support to regain your independence temporary care could be a great option for you
• Hospital discharge-Following a spell in hospital it may take you a little while to get back in to the swing of things in your own home. Short term care can help you for as long as you need whilst you recover
• On holiday- If you would like some extra support whilst you are away, or are leaving a loved one at home whilst you take a break, temporary visiting care can be provided for one day, or up to 4 weeks.
• Occasions-Weddings, parties or graduations. Events that don’t last more than one day, but could be made easier with a personal assistant to help you go about the day as easily as possible.
Care packages tailored to dementia needs
All of our carers have been through specific dementia training, meaning they know just how to manage the difficulties and complications the condition can bring.
We know that dementia affects people in different ways, so no two of our care packages are the same.
If you need support with personal care and mobility, or just someone to have a chat and cup of tea with we will provide you with just that.
Continuity and familiarity are crucial parts of dementia care. Enabling you to stay in your own home where everything is well known and comfortable is a great way of preventing disruption and maintaining your independence.
Clinical care in Eastbourne
Some conditions require specific care to ensure that you are safe and properly looked after.
We have a team of clinical nurse specialists who have extensive nursing knowledge and experience, and assist with the set-up of all of our clinical packages.
We can tailor a package of care to suit conditions such as motor neurone disease, cerebral palsy and strokes. As well as supporting you with things like tracheostomy care, PEG feeding or advanced toileting care.
All carers receive regular update training, and where your condition calls for it they will go thorough condition-specific care training to ensure you are receiving the perfect package for your needs.
Fully trained and vetted carers in Eastbourne
We operate differently to an agency in that all of our carers are directly employed by us as a company. Every one of them has been vetted, reference checked and has had an enhanced DBS check.
Once they have been recruited they go through an extensive training programme at our Centre of Excellence ensuring they have the perfect skillset to be a great carer, regardless of any training or experience they have had in the past.
Carers receive regular training throughout their career to ensure they are always in the know of any updates, or changes to their customers’ needs.
Sue works closely with the carers, ensuring they are always comfortable and caring to the highest possible standard.
If you, or one of our carers ever has a problem outside of office hours you can contact our on call team who are available 24/7.

I really give caring my all, and it is so lovely to see the reaction I get from my customers. My main concern is making them happy, and doing anything I can to make their lives easier.
