Undoubtedly most famous for the battle that bears its name, Hastings is a seaside town that offers many attractions documenting 1066, but also plenty of contemporary amusements too. Also renowned as an important fishing port, it is in fact home to the UK’s largest beach-based fishing fleet.
We respect history at Helping Hands, as we’re very proud of our own, which stretches back to 1989 and sees us as one of the UK’s foremost homecare providers. Offering live-in or visiting care from just 30 minutes, our carers are compassionate and empathetic and regularly go above and beyond to ensure that their customers get to live their very best life in the home they love.

I have been working for Helping Hands since December 2021. As a branch manager, I'm responsible for ensuring we are providing a safe, person-centred, outstanding service to our lovely clients and their families. My journey into care started when a family member was suddenly needing End of Life (EoL) care, and from this time I realised how crucially important the care industry is. Together with my team, we have a wealth of knowledge and expertise, and we are dedicated to delivering this service to our local community. Since starting my journey here I have obtained my CQC registration and NVQ level 5 in Leadership and Management.
In my spare time I like to be with my fiancée and our two children; I could watch Harry Potter all day! I am a huge animal lover, and enjoy traveling and reading; I am a complete book worm!

Reviews and credentials
We are actively collecting and monitoring our reviews and feedback for Hastings to ensure our customers receive the best possible live in and home care service.
Live-in care is a cost-effective alternative to residential care, with the added advantage of you being able to remain in the home you love. If you have complex care needs or perhaps would just like around the clock companionship, our dedicated live-in carers will be able to care for your every need, including personal care, meal preparation, housework, laundry and so much more. Our bespoke care packages are tailored around you, so talk to us today about live-in care for you or your loved one.
Better than a care agency in Hastings
Being a fully managed care company and not a care agency, means that at Helping Hands we really understand care. We were founded in 1989 and over the past 30 years we have cared for thousands of customers who we’ve supported in their own homes, regardless of their condition. We provide outstanding, person-centred care to people across the whole of England and Wales and our carers regularly go above and beyond to ensure their customers get to live their best life possible in the home they love. We look after our carers too though, as by employing them directly and supporting them thoroughly we ensure their high levels of motivation.
Needing care in an emergency can be a highly stressful time, for both you and your loved ones. Contacting different companies and trying to discover who can support you at short notice will be stressful for anyone, but especially when you have limited time to arrange everything. Fortunately, Helping Hands have been caring for customers in their own homes since 1989, often at very short notice, due to an unexpected hospital discharge or a regular carer who has to leave suddenly. What’s more, our carers can usually be with you within 24 hours.
Private care in Hastings
There are definite pros and cons for remaining in your own home for care or moving into residential support, however we find that more and more people want to stay in the home they love for as long as they can. In a residential or nursing home it’s going to be very unlikely that you’ll receive one-to-one care, simply because the staff ratios cannot be that high, however if you have care at home you’ll have dedicated support from your carer that will be totally built around you and your needs. And what’s more, your personalised support plan will ensure you always remain at the centre of your care journey, every single day.
With overnight care from Helping Hands, you are always in control of the service you receive, whether you need occasional visits or full-time live-in support. Your bespoke care plan will show that your routine and care needs are always at the forefront of your carer’s delivery, so if you struggle to sleep at night and would appreciate companionship, or you need around the clock support or nursing care due to a complex condition, we can help.
Fully-trained carers in Hastings
Our carers are second to none when it comes to looking after our customers expertly. This is also because we train them thoroughly to ensure that when they join us they are ready to fully support everyone’s individual needs. We also screen our carers through the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that only people who should be entering your home are doing so, and because we’re regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales you can have the highest confidence in our expert levels of service and our ability to comprehensively care for you or your loved ones.
Helping Hands Home Care is registered and therefore licensed to provide services by the Care Quality Commission (ID: 1-101671690) and the Care Inspectorate Wales (certificate number: W15/00000831/O001/0001).
