Our mum has dementia, and looks forward to the Visits of Hana and Gillian, which she values greatly. They have become freinds with our mum, and very flexible with the important companionship included with cleaning and cooking, ensuring mum has the best healthy diet. Great service which we are looking to increase as mums condition deteriats, but keeping her in her own home.

The helping hands team have been providing care for my mother at her home over the last 3 months. Mum has dementia and Helping Hands are the first care provider we have used, finding their services excellent. Mums confidence has grown enjoying the interaction and discussions with her new friends. Importantly Helping Hands are providing our family assurance that mum is recieving a good diet with regular meals, and that her home is maintained safe. Helping Hands also provide regular updates and have just increased mums care package with them based on improvements of our mums happiness and wellbeing. We highly recommend Helping Hands.

Helping Hands have been supporting my uncle for several years now. This enables him to stay in his own home. My uncle suffers from depression and anxiety, which he has had to deal with for most of his adult life. Unfortunately his mental health has deteriorated much further since Covid and the lock downs. Sadly my cousin and I are finding it increasingly difficult to cope with his high level of anxiety and his demands. Without the consistent professional support from the Enfield team I don’t think we could cope or continue to help him. My uncle is well looked after, his needs are always met, the communication is excellent. The carers and their manager are doing their very best for him, although he can be very hard to please. Sadly he doesn’t appreciate most of their efforts, but I certainly do. Thank you Helping Hands Enfield.

My uncle has poor mental health and originally needed support with bathing and household chores. He been looked after by Helping Hands for 4 years now. He’s had life long issues with anxiety and depression. He coped well, when he had the routine of work, church and activities with friends. Now at 88 yrs, he has withdrawn from society, he rarely engages with anything or anyone. Every small task is now “a mountain” he just refuses to climb. The carers have been very kind and patient with him. His flat is clean and tidy. The shopping is done for him, as he refuses to accompany them, although he is physically able to do so. Looking after him is a major struggle at times, but the carers meet the challenge head on. I have a good relationship with the manager Kim and her team and that is essential. We frequently contact one another to ensure that we are collectively doing our best for a difficult client. I would definitely recommend Helping Hands Enfield.

I had been using another agency in emergency for a fortnight and it wasn't reliable. A friend recommended Helping Hands/Homecare Enfield. They couldn't have been more helpful, came round the next day to chat and by lunchtime I had a full rota. The three carers started the next working day and have been first class, kind chatty and efficient. My Mum is happy, well looked after and nurtured. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this service. My mind is at rest, having been her sole carer for so many years and now my own ill health putting a stop to that it is a complete weight off my mind. I wish I'd done it before.
