It can be difficult when a loved one is diagnosed with dementia. However, with the proper care, it is still possible for them to live an independent life in the comfort of their own home.
At Helping Hands, we have provided dementia care since 1989, so we have years of experience under our belt. We have helped thousands of families across England and Wales, including Gloucestershire. Our care is tailored to your loved one’s needs and requirements so they can continue to live life as they wish.
For added reassurance, we are regulated and monitored by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales. So, you can be confident knowing you’ll receive a well-led, responsive and compassionate service.

Dementia care is designed to support your loved one living with dementia. Whether they have just been diagnosed with the condition or have been living with it for some time, our carers can provide exceptional care in the comfort of their own home. We offer dementia care from as little as 30 minutes a week or longer with our bespoke care packages. So, we will be sure to find a package to suit you.
We provide dementia care on a visiting and live-in basis. Visiting care involves regular calls from as little as 30 minutes a week, where our carers come to your loved one’s home when they need support. So, whether they need help preparing and eating meals, the grocery shop or company over a cuppa, we will be there no matter what.
Or, if your loved one prefers to have constant care throughout the day, we offer live-in care. This is when one of our dementia-trained carers lives with your loved one at home, so they have support on hand. It will also put your mind at rest, knowing your loved one is being looked after 24 hours a day.
As a Dementia Action Alliance member, our carers are fully trained to provide compassionate and empathetic care to those living with dementia. We understand that seeing familiar faces is important for individuals living with the condition, which is why we send the same carers to your loved one’s door.
Whether you need us to check on your loved one in the morning and help them get dressed or ensure they sleep well at night, our carers will do whatever it takes to make their life a little easier. For extra peace of mind, all our carers undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, so you know your loved one will be looked after by someone you can trust.
For more information on our dementia care plans, contact our customer care team today. They are available seven days a week and you can call or speak to them via live chat. Alternatively, you can walk into our local branch and talk to a member of our team in person.
