Home care in Gloucestershire
Visiting care and home care in Gloucestershire
Since 1989, Helping Hands have been providing empathetic, person-centred home care to people across England and Wales. In that time, we’ve helped tens of thousands of our customers to continue living independently and confidently in their own homes, where they’re able to maintain their own routines and enjoy their own furniture and furnishings.
All of our care services are independently regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).

Branch Care Manager
As branch care manager my role is to oversee all elements of running the Gloucester branch, from the quality of the frontline support, to the budgets, and ensuring we are price competitive within the area. I can only complete my job with the support of my fantastic carers and office team. I view myself as the conductor of an orchestra - bringing all areas together smoothly - but the hard work is done by others. I had personal experiences of family members with learning difficulties or physical support needs and I have always been aware of those individuals in society that just need a little support to live their lives how they wish. These experiences drive me everyday to do better for those who need it. One of the many reasons I choose to work for Helping Hands is during the interview process you could feel the dedication to the people they support to make their lives better and promote independence. In my spare time I enjoy getting out into the wilderness in my campervan, with my partner and Lucy my sprocker. I love old motorcycles and scooters and currently own seven Vespas and Lambrettas.

Home care in Gloucestershire
Home care can be an excellent option for anyone who is at a stage of life where they’d benefit from a bit of extra help from day to day but wishes to remain in their own home, rather than moving into residential care.
At Helping Hands, we offer home care on both a visiting and live-in basis, which means that whatever your level of need, we’ll have a care solution for you. Our visiting care starts from as little as 30 minutes per week, and your visits are scheduled around your schedule so that you’re receiving support at the times when you really need it. Live-in care gives you a more comprehensive care offering where you’ll have a carer staying in your home with you around the clock, and is ideal for those with palliative care needs or a complex condition.
24/7 live in care
When it comes to live in care, we know that you’ll have needs and preferences that are completely unique to you, which is why your local care manager in Gloucestershire will make sure you’re provided with a package of care which is tailored to you.
From your very first phone call to our wonderful team, we’ll make sure you’re at the centre of every decision that’s taken. That way, you can continue to enjoy the meals, bed-times, social engagements and other routines you’re used to.
Why Helping Hands is better than a care agency in Gloucestershire
At Helping Hands, we’re extremely proud of our wonderful carers. They truly are our greatest asset, and they’re the main reason we’ve got a reputation as the UK’s most widely-trusted home care provider. We only hire carers who possess a kind, compassionate personality, and who share our company-wide commitment to providing exceptional, transformative care to each and every customer.
As well as undergoing extensive background checks, every Helping Hands carer receives our industry-renowned carer training, where they’ll enrol on modules covering dementia care, moving and handling, medication, and so much more. This initial training is then supplemented by regular refresher courses, ensuing their knowledge and skills are constantly kept topped up.
