This matters because, traditionally, care agencies don’t employ their carers directly, meaning more stress and anxiety for both carers and customers. We recruit, select, and employ all of our carers in-house, meaning we see the best of the people who share our values and who have personal qualities of kindness and empathy. All of our carers undergo a rigorous training programme tailored to their role and the specific needs of the customers they care for. If they require additional skills due to the complexities of their customers’ conditions, we also have our own team of clinical nurses at Helping Hands, who will manage the carers’ development and ensure they have all the necessary knowledge. We love helping our carers develop and gain qualifications, and we hope they will remain with the company for many years to come. We’re proud that so many of our managers began as carers with us and chose to spend their careers at Helping Hands.
