We can’t recommend the Huddersfield branch of Helping Hands enough. We needed in home care visits for my mum at short notice and the team were able to accommodated our needs immediately. All contact - on the phone and in person - has been outstanding. They were able to give specific times for the visits, as opposed to a time slot which made it much easier for mum. The carers who came to help were extremely professional, kind and compassionate. They all built up a great rapport with her so quickly and were genuinely lovely with her. Unfortunately mum had a fall and was found by one of the carers who was in contact with the care phone provider/ambulance and passed on all the relevant information to me and my brother. He stayed with mum, ensured that her dignity was preserved and made her laugh and smile at a really difficult time for her. We can’t thank the team enough and would highly recommend them.

Approached Helping Hands to discuss visiting care for an older relative requiring assistance post suffering a stroke. I was immediately impressed with the professional and caring way the needs of my relative were discussed, and this has epitomised the care that has been delivered - both from staff in the office and those providing the care.

The management team are great and support customers and staff well lovely staff who are reliable and care about the customers

It takes a while to get some requests responded to and continued on a regular basis by the whole carer team. But I know there have been about 4 different office managers over that time and everyone is working really hard in these very challenging circumstances. So this is a minor issue, given that the actual care given has been good. So thank you to all involved for all you have done.
