While the area of Merton encompasses lots of areas with significant histories and claims to fame, the local area also has the honour of being where much of the filming for ITV drama ‘The Bill’ took place, especially in Colliers Wood and Mitcham. There are also various styles of historic buildings to be seen in the area, enough to keep even the most obsessive architect happy.
Despite already having a well-established local branch in Wimbledon, at Helping Hands we felt we should get to know the wider Merton area better. This is because we feel there are still people in the local area who aren’t aware that they could remain living in the home they love to receive care, rather than move into residential care homes.
