We approached Helping Hands to provide support for my Mum in the form of daily visits for wellbeing and social contact late in 2021. As for many, Mum had become very isolated during Covid and had recently been assessed as having dementia, but remained determined to live at home alone. The initial assessment was fast and efficient, and over the next 18 months or so, Helping Hands made it possible for Mum to retain her independence by gradually increasing and adapting her visits - I was particularly impressed with how Ellen and the team stepped up to provide additional support at short notice when Mum came home after a short hospital stay. Equally, I am grateful for Ellen's understanding and flexibility when assigning carers to Mum by matching personalities etc. My thanks also to all of Mum's carers - most of whom I met over these past months - for their patience and thoughtfulness. I have already recommended HH Stourbridge to one of Mum's neighbours whose father is now using this service, and I would gladly do so again.

I have found everyone I’ve spoken with to be professional, helpful and friendly. Carers have always been kind and respectful doing everything that was asked of them with a smile. I would definitely recommend this service.

We have been using Helping Hands Stourbridge for over a year now. We cannot fault the service from the Head Office Team. If there are any concerns they are actioned immediately, they listen, advise and even do care visit themselves and are not sat behind an ivory tower as some care agencies do. The care staff - exceptional - we used urgent overnight care and once again the team pulled out all the stops for us - excellent again. The daily care is great and we tend to have the same care givers during the week which my inlaws love as it gives continuity for them. If anything changes or if they are running late due to exceptional circumstances we are notified and not left in the lurch. The ladies that visit phone to give an update most days and even, help us with the shopping lists, build rapport not only with the people they care for but also the family. A great team in Stourbridge and I could not recommend them highly enough.

Mum's care started at such a difficult time of the coronavirus lock-down. The assessment was quick to arrange, and care began immediately... following full PPE procedures. All the family are impressed with the professional service given. Mum (who will be 100 in a few days time) thinks that 'All the girls are lovely.' Highly recommended.

I spoke to Sammy who was ever so helpful and answered all my questions. I've been waiting for social services to sort social care for my Nan and I decided to look for myself privately and found Helping hands and was so happy to know they have capacity to cover my nans needs and the area she lives. Along with knowing about dementia. I have a meeting booked and fingers crossed we can get her care as quickly as possible.
