Helping Hands has stepped in to provide professional care on a regular basis, initially to support a family carer but now are the principal carers and they certainly do provide a good service for the client as well as for the client’s family. Communication and response are particularly good. We have not used any other providers for our mother but went to HH initially on the recommendation of a neighbour, and would recommend to others.
I would be happy to recommend the Topsham branch to anyone.
The carers and management are helpful, supportive and professional.
Helping hands are a great company they provide very good care To my partner who has no eyes who has no eyesight at all they are they are kind friendly caring caring enablers Who tell my partner exactly what exactly what is going on before they do it before they do it we’re helping hands could improve II think they could have some extra training some extra training on the different kinds of stone kinds of stoma as my partner has AA partner has a eurostomy bag fitted another another point that I think they should consider With new carers I think there should be a few more shadowing sessions before since before the carer does solo visits Apologies for dictation repeating words you get the dressed
My mother, who is 87 and lives over 100 miles away from us, was increasingly becoming less mobile and requiring some help with certain tasks e.g. changing beds, laundry and shopping. At my request Helping Hands were able to rapidly provide a carer to visit her once a week to help with this. As my mother’s mobility has continued to deteriorate and additional tasks have proved to be problematic HH we’re able to increase the number of weekly visits. Despite the HH office caring for my mother changing from Exeter to Topsham and a change in carers the high quality of care provided has remained unchanged. To quote my mother she is “ very impressed with the organisation” and especially with Rosie who is her career now. I would have no hesitation in recommending Helping Hands to others seeking care.
I have used Helping Hands for several years. Initially I used the Exeter Branch. Topsham’s better. I would recommend using Helping Hands to someone else seeking care.
