Helping hands were recommended to me, a close family member had used their services to look after his wife. From the first call with Sarah arranging the assessment for my father in law to the carers coming out every morning, everything was very professional and all the carers friendly and have been such a big support to my family. Emma the manager and Sarah were also very supportive when we had last minute changes with my father in law been in and out of hospital. All of the staff show empathy and care about you as an individual. Their support meant my father in law could stay at home a little longer with their daily help. The girls were so good with him and my mother in law loved to see them too. Nothing but praise for all they did for them both. Everyone at helping hands are so nice, caring and really can’t do enough to help you. I would definitely recommend helping hands if you are needing support as they truly are 5 star, everyone at the office and the care workers who visit are all amazing. You won’t regret using this company to support your love ones when needed. So a Massive thank you from me to all at helping hands Wakefield 😀

We met with Emma today to discuss my mother's care requirements and she was so helpful in both outlining and explaining how Helping Hands operate and the level of service that would be provided and again how this could be scaled to meet any changes, Emma provided those assurances that any family would be keen to have confirmed alongside her genuine committee to ensuring the quality of service provided was of the highest standard.

I approached Helping Hands Wakefield because I needed care for my mother. I had read good reviews about the service and read the 'good' CQC report. We had an assessment visit from Maggie Smith yesterday. We have had no experience of the care system and Maggie did a thorough assessment answering all the questions we asked and giving us lots of information about things we hadn't thought to ask. She spent a lot of time talking to mum about what she wanted from care and really put us at ease. She was kind, patient, intersted in mum and her life and I thought she was a great ambassador for Helping Hands. Unfortunately HH do not have the capacity to offer us care at the moment but would definitely recommend them to others.

I’ve been working for Helping Hands for 7 months and am really impressed with the whole company and Wakefield branch in particular. The office staff are very supportive and approachable and it’s refreshing to feel cared about as a member of staff. Communication and training are great and lead to impressive individualised customer care. It’s so good to hear the people I visit say that everyone that cares for them is lovely. I’m happy and proud to work with this great team.

My first impression of Helping Hands was very professional, caring staff who are committed to providing the right service and care package tailored to each individual customers needs. They make sure staff are trained and assessed in their role as a cater. Everyone goes above and beyond for the client and it’s a very rewarding job and nice place to work.

I do not work for Helping Hands but most of my working life has been caring for others. I would like to say Helping Hands stands out about all care companies in our area for the care it gives. As a person with nvq level 4 in care I'm very aware what is needed to make a good company and to have good staff. One of these is Emma Moxon whom is such a caring person approachable person with outstanding communication skills. I have never come across a person working in care that gives more then 100% in all areas needed to make a good care person. She is and will always be a fantastic asset to Helping Hands. And then there is Della Haque whom I have known for many years. She gives her all to be the best carer she can. She has a special gift where she can bond with all people she cares for. She goes above and beyond what her job role asks of her. I think a good carer should have qualities like good time keeping communication skills-be a caring person-alert to problems-follow the companies policies and procedures-work on their own or with others-loyal-have a fun/Happy side to them and Della has them all and many more. I see her most days and she is happy going out to work which shows what a great company Helping Hands is to work for..I would have no problem asking Helping Hands to care for my own mother..

I cannot recommend the service provided by Helping Hands enough. Everyone involved with my mums care was friendly and professional. Knowing mum was in safe hands provided dad and I with support too. Whenever I needed to contact the Wakefield office for additional help/advice the service I received was exceptional from Emma and Maggie. I would like special thanks passed on to the above as well as Janet, Emily and Della (who most recently provided overnight care for mum). I would not hesitate to contact you again should we need your help again in the future.

Great staff and amazing company

The ladies at helping hands have visited mum daily for the last few years. Mum has been cared for and content in her own home. I live 4 hours away but have always felt happy and confident that Mum has been in good hands. It’s only due to a change in circumstances that Mum is now with another care provider. I would recommend helping hands. They have kept me informed instantly of any issues mum may have and if you asked mum, she will tell you that the ladies have become friends, she will miss them.

The team & management at Helping Hands have been absolutely tremendous in supporting my mum & dad in what has turned out to be a horrendous 12 months for my parents. Emma & the care team continuously went above and beyond.in many ways. The communication was second to none, always picking up the phone if there were any worries. The team were also as reactive as possible and always tried their best to accommodate changes in circumstances. Thank you sincerely for supporting my parents in their final traumatic year or so.. You probably don't know how much your support helped us in those tough times

I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone at helping hands. Emma is absolutely wonderful and works extremely hard. She put in many many hours of work to help my Grandad including many calls from myself at all hours. With my grandad in and out of hospital nothing was too much for Emma she went above and beyond as did all the staff. The carers whom work at helping hands, we will never forget the care you all showed both him and us. I cannot thank you enough for not just my Grandad but also my grandma and for showing them both so much care and compassion especially in the last year of my grandmas life. For making them both comfortable and helping to ease the worries of the family especially in our time of grief. Although my grandparents were at first reluctant to have carers, they really needed the assistance due to deteriorating health. Immediately my grandmother absolutely loved the ladies and my grandfather, upon the passing of my grandma, really appreciated their company. They had nothing but fond words of all the ladies, especially Trudy and Beth. Our words will never repay everything helping hands have done for us as a family, there simply are no words. But I will always recommending them, 100 percent reliable trustworthy and hardworking. Thank you

The person on your end, sorry don't remember his name. When he spoke he spoke with a lot clarity. I never felt uncomfortable talking with him and it normally happens often.
