Industry leading respite care in Walsall

If your regular carer needs some time off, or you’re being discharged from hospital, respite care can be the answer. Being able to stay at home when you might otherwise have to go into residential care means that you remain comfortable in the surroundings you love most. You should always be able to control what happens in your own life and that includes making decisions around your care. We began delivering care in our customers’ homes in 1989 and since then we’ve been proud to deliver outstanding, person-centred care to so many people in the Walsall area.

When should I choose respite care, and what can a carer help with?

You don’t have to leave the place you love and the people who are always by your side, as your respite care can be delivered in the comfort and familiarity of your own home. Our carers can support you practically and emotionally, with household tasks, personal care, and companionship. They can also help you to make the most of your surroundings outside of your home by accompanying you to appointments and activities, or for a friendly meet up with friends over coffee and cake.

Why you may need Walsall respite care

You may have a carer who needs to take a break and want someone to provide a seamless consistency while they’re away. Or it could be that you’ve been in hospital for a while and are worried you won’t manage once you return home. Regardless of your circumstances, temporary care may be just what you need to get back to full health. We can get you a carer quickly, even in an emergency situation, such as your carer being taken ill. We may even be able to get someone to you within 24 hours.

The benefits of respite care at home

We provide visiting and live-in home care in Walsall, delivered by amazing carers who will always put you first. Promoting your independence and respecting your routines comes naturally to us and our bespoke packages of care will be tailored to your exact requirements. Unlike being in a residential care home, you’ll receive one-to-one support that’s designed around how you like to live, meaning that you decide what time you get up, when and what you eat, and when you go to bed.

Choosing Helping Hands for respite care

You may only need our care temporarily or you may decide that you enjoy having extra support and would like to continue receiving it. With visiting and live-in care, you’ll get the help you need with every aspect of your daily life, built around your needs. We keep our customers safe at home too, by thoroughly checking our carers’ backgrounds and screening them through the Disclosure and Barring Service. We’re also fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales, which demonstrates our commitment to always delivering the very highest standards of care, every single day.

Our expert respite carers in Walsall

Our carers are amazing, as they regularly go above and beyond to ensure our customers live the best quality of life they can at home. Don’t take our word for it either, as we get fantastic Trustpilot reviews demonstrating how satisfied our customers and their loved ones really are. We like to think we are good judges of character, and when we select our carers we are really selective about who joins us, only employing those people who are naturally compassionate and really care for others from the heart.
