Initially my mum needed help and company at teatime once a week which was why I approached Helping Hands. Since then we have also started with morning care from Emily who is giving my mum security and a positive start each day. Knowing she will have the same person each day is important so I’m very happy that has been arranged. Emily doesn’t just work hard getting through the daily tasks, she takes the time to talk to my mum and treats her as a person. I’m also looking forward to seeing how the ‘days out’ initiative goes because mum loves to go out.
