After doing my own research for an established care company, i luckily found Helping Hands in Wokingham, being a family run business with core values in promoting independence in your own home, whilst maintaining a compassionate approach. i have been using Helping hands for over two years now and will continue to do so as my needs change, The office staff Monika, Tiffany and Emma are very friendly and approachable, on occasions where I've had to phone they have all gone the extra mile in accommodating me, Further more the home manager Stuart is a real tonic, and has given me good advise and care options for my needs, while keeping my independence, Helping hands is a fantastic company, and i would not hesitate to recommend them, all the carers that visit me, have sunny personalities. have my best interests at heart and i really enjoyed their visits

From the first phone call, we knew that our Mom was in good hands with the team in Wokingham. So helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they all really understand what Mom and we are going through. This week proved we made the correct choice. Whilst out for a walk with Mom, Rachael noticed she was not right and reacted FAST (Face, Arm, Speech, Time). The speed in which she reacted (and also the speed of the paramedics) ensured Mom was seen rapidly and is today at home... It could have been a very different outcome. I don't really think Rachael is aware of the amazing thing she did and we are so very grateful to her and all the team. Mom really loves her visits with the team and they make such a difference to her life and ours, knowing she is looked after like she is part of their family.

We have had Helping Hands for a while for our Mum, she has Demintia, Helping Hands have helped so much by taking so much pressure of us, we had two visits daily, every carer has made Mum feel at ease and all were so pleasent with her, The whole team have been so pleasent, understanding and kept us informed with Mum, So a big Thank yopu to Stuart and his team :-)

I was helped by Elise from the Wokingham branch. I received excellent advice and assistance from Elise. Nothing seemed too much trouble for her and she put everyone at ease. Very methodical and professional in her approach and she manages to stay calm in difficult situations. I'm very impressed with this organisation: the management, the carers and the team in general.

My mother had a hip replacement and the helping hands team in Wokingham went above and beyond! Sharon came to me the day after I requested a carer, and helped both me and mother find an exceptional carer that my mother loved called Taylor. It was such a relief and I am so grateful for their support. Exceeded any expectations I had.

The standard and level of care provided is excellent. My care team has evolved ever since I joined Helping Hands and every effort has been made by the management to fulfil my needs more than satisfactorily. The only area I have marked down slightly is the management item in that I am not always advised about a change of carer, and sometimes the time of the call, in advance but this is not a major issue.

Telephone call came soon after my e mail request for live in care. Melissa confirmed that a carer would be found without another visit as we had several weeks previous had a live in carer for my husband. We agreed the cost over the phone and we are now just waiting for a profile to come through.

It would be most helpful to have the same carer coming to a relative so the relative and carer could form a good relationship. If this is not possible then maybe just two or three different carers. Also at present some of the carers do not do what is being asked and I'm not sure whether they are not told at the office or they don't read the instructions which I have left for them.. That being said I am reasonably happy with the company.

Lots of changes in office staff, so a bit up in the air for both clients and carers alike, hopefully this will settle in time.

Provision of care has been very reliable, but timing of visits has been erratic on occasions. Care provided has been first rate. Friendliness of carers has been much appreciated, but there are one or two exceptions.

Helping Hands are very accommodating when I have to change times and add an extra visit which is appreciated. They are also very reliable and kind. There is one small problem of carers not always being on time but understand this can be due to problems with their last assignment.

Excellent communication

We haven't been with you long but we are very happy, Craig is very quick and efficient and a pleasant young man. Thank you.

My lead carer is brilliant. However I have had a number of communication issues with the office manager and the visit coordinator with messages not being relayed. One was a critical prescription collection which did not happen. They have both recently left.. I am anxious to get more carers on my team and thankfully the Field Care Supervisor is now currently working on that process to be implemented as soon as possible.. Despite my few negative remarks Helping Hands is the best care company I have ever been with and wish to remain long term for the rest of my life. Subject to the increase of my team members and better communication with the office then my next review would rank you with the highest marks.. Thank you..

I took out a 3 month contract as a trial tun for possible future use. I found your service to be satisfactory, with accurate arrival times and courtesy throughout. However, I consider that I am not yet really in need of carer attendance, so do not intend to renew the contract following its completion on 4th June 2019. Please confirm to me in writing that no contract now exists between us, and that your Direct Debit is hereby cancelled. J. Bradshaw.

Hopefully I've been truthful as I see the organisation. I would recommend them because they are extremely helpful and proficient but as with organisation things do sometimes go wrong.

So far we are satisfied with the care given and appreciate the reliability and support.

Clare took a real interest in our situation, took on board all of the issues and understood it well. She was reassuring and kind, and answered all of our questions. Thanks!
