I have worked in care since I was 16 years old and have always felt at home within a care environment, it has always given me a lot of job satisfaction and certainly is the right career for me. Having worked within a residential setting I started to consider what other care environments I could work in, I knew I had the passion and experience but wanted to do more for my customers/
Having gone onto a couple of websites I came across Helping Hands and they really stood out as an organisation. I was really impressed by the Training and the ongoing support they offered. I made my application and within just a few days had been invited to attend a week’s training in Alcester, this was when I experienced the wow factor that Helping Hands have, the training was just brilliant, not too stressful, lots of ideas and everyone had such a good sense of humour making it fun whilst learning.
I have now been in three placements and feel extremely proud to work for Helping Hands Home Care, my Local Care Support Manager, Alison Taylor, is just fantastic, in fact she is the best Manager I have ever had and I know she is always there for me. I have never looked back, it’s all been what I hoped for.
