Our Home Care Services Available For The Elderly At Home

At Helping Hands, we’ve got over 35 years’ experience in providing compassionate, person-centred home care to people across England and Wales. In that time, we’ve helped tens of thousands of customers and their families to keep enjoying one another’s company and continue living independently, safely and happily in their own homes. As we got older, it’s only natural that we’ll start to slow down a bit and are no longer able to do quite as much as we used to. When the need for additional support arises, our home care in Birmingham team are standing by to offer practical, physical and emotional help on both a visiting care and live-in care basis, depending on your personal needs and wishes.

Why Is Elderly Care Important?

Elderly care can offer an older loved one an invaluable source of support that allows them to maintain the lifestyle, routines and hobbies that they cherish. Old age doesn’t have to be a barrier to a full and rich life. Even just a few weekly visits from a carer can free up an elderly loved one to spend more time doing the things they enjoy, or give them the confidence to continue being active in their community. Our Birmingham carers are all expertly trained to look after people with a wide range of needs, so whether your loved one is living with a complex condition, such as a type of dementia, or is simply experiencing age-related frailty, we’re here.

Elderly Care & Support In The Comfort Of Your Own Home

Home care from our Birmingham team can be provided either by visiting carers or a live-in carer. That decision is entirely up to you, although your local care manager will of course be alongside you every step of the way to advise you and be a sounding board for any queries you may have. Our visiting care starts from just 30 minutes per week, while live-in care in Birmingham gives you round-the-clock support from a carer who will come and live with you in your home.

Selecting A Care Choice To Match Your Needs & Lifestyle

We’ve been providing home care for long enough to know that each person’s care needs are fully unique to them. For that reason, we always take the time to design a unique package of care for every customer, based on your particular requirements and preferences. It might be that you need help managing certain symptoms of a condition, or maybe you’d simply like help getting into and out of bed at particular times each day. Many of our customers have specific dietary needs, which is something our carers are also trained to cater for. However big or small the details, they always matter to us.

Trusted & Qualified Experts Providing Elderly Care In Birmingham

You can partner with our Birmingham team safe in the knowledge that you’ll be supported by a truly wonderful team of carers. We’re extremely selective about who we recruit to our care teams, only ever hiring candidates who share our company-wide values of kindness and compassion and who are clearly dedicated to their roles. All new carers must undergo enhanced-DBS checks, as well as receiving our extensive carer training which is reinforced by regular refresher courses. And, for your full peace of mind, every aspect of your care will be independently regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
