At Helping Hands, we’re known for rewarding our carers generously. With a great pay and benefits package, award-winning training and more placements than anywhere else, it’s no wonder so many are joining our team.

  • A 24/7 carer helpline and ongoing support from your local branch
  • Full training before you start and the opportunity to shadow a carer
  • Free uniform
  • Generous mileage allowance
  • Specialist training and development through the Qualifications & Credit Framework (QCF)

More flexibility as a care assistant

One of the many perks of becoming a care assistant are the flexible working hours. Otherwise known as visiting carers, our carers love how they can commit to regular work that fits around their other commitments.
Many of our customers require help at different times of day – mornings, afternoons, nights or weekends. Because of this, you can request to work at certain times, and even choose between full-time or part-time work.

Like most mums, I needed a job that could fit around my two young children. It was the flexibility of visiting care that got my interest as I wanted to stay at home with my children in the daytime and work evening and weekends around my husband’s job.

Investing in your future

Helping Hands is a family-owned and family-run company and, as such, we treat our carers like family too. By becoming a carer with us, you become a valued member of our team, with ongoing support and a commitment to your professional development.

Because of our sheer size and scale, there are plenty of opportunities for career progression at Helping Hands. In fact, almost half of our office team has been appointed from internal promotions.
